MilestonesIn the course of the project life start-up and administration, IPR2 has marked the following significant milestones: Signature of EU-China Financing Agreement for EUR 16.275 million by EU Commissioner for External Relations Benita Ferrero-Waldner EU and Vice-Minister Yi Xiaozhun, Ministry of Commerce of P.R. China on 17 January 2007 in Beijing. European Patent Office signed contract with the European Commission to manage the implementation of IPR2’s Technical Assistance for EUR 10 million on 29 June 2007. Meeting between EPO, OHIM and representatives of Member States to consider how to collaborate in implementing the project on 19 July 2007 in Europe. Start of IPR2 inception phase on 28 September 2007. IPR2 office inauguration by EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson and Vice-Minister Yu Guangzhou, Ministry of Commerce of P.R. China on 27 November 2007 in Beijing.
