February 2010, Beijing As part of its work on supporting right holders of intellectual property, IPR2 provides training modules for broad-based learning on intellectual property protection. These modules will be developed from trainings on current intellectual property protection issues and knowledge and insights from IP experts over the course of IPR2’s implementation.
The IPR2 e-learning series aims to promote the flow of expertise to a large-scale user community and to help grow the IP knowledge base towards building a sustainable environment of IP protection and enforcement in China. View IPR2 e-learning flyer 387.29 KB. The e-learning modules are available to download free-of-charge below and take the form of a bilingual (English and Chinese) multi-media file. They aim to: - Expand the bounds of training to broaden the base of users who can benefit from expert IP knowledge.
- Offer ready support to officials, companies, institutions and researchers in learning more on IP protection.
- Provide a tool to ‘train the trainers’, especially in the Provinces, allowing a cascade flow of information to all levels.
- Promote a consistent and widespread understanding of current issues and up-to-date IP information.
Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement Mechanisms in the European Union
IPR2 developed this e-learning module based on training given to hundreds of enforcement officials and companies in China on the various means of enforcing intellectual property in the EU. It is an especially useful reference for right holders who are keen to protect their IPR efficiently and effectively in Europe as well as those who may not be fully informed of the importance of IPR enforcement and what is at stake for a company. How to Protect your Intellectual Property Rights during European Trade Fairs IPR2 developed this e-learning module based on training given to hundreds of companies in China on how to protect IP at trade fairs in Europe. Download Player - 44.2 MB Scope of patent protection under the European Patent Convention IPR2 developed this e-learning module based on training given by the European Patent Office on the scope of patent protection under the European Patent Convention (EPC), specifically Article 69. Article 69 and the protocol on its interpretation exist to ensure the uniform interpretation of patent claims in Europe despite traditional differences between countries. The purpose of this module is to shed more light on the principles applied to the interpretation of the scope of patent claims, principles which have been developed by case law.
