As part of its work on supporting right holders of intellectual property, IPR2 provides training modules for broad-based learning on intellectual property protection. These modules will be developed from trainings on current intellectual property protection issues and knowledge and insights from IP experts over the course of IPR2’s implementation.
The IPR2 e-learning series aims to promote the flow of expertise to a large-scale user community and to help grow the IP knowledge base towards building a sustainable environment of IP protection and enforcement in China. View IPR2 e-learning flyer387.29 KB.
The e-learning modules are available to download free-of-charge below and take the form of a bilingual (English and Chinese) multi-media file. They aim to:
- Expand the bounds of training to broaden the base of users who can benefit from expert IP knowledge.
- Offer ready support to officials, companies, institutions and researchers in learning more on IP protection.
- Provide a tool to ‘train the trainers’, especially in the Provinces, allowing a cascade flow of information to all levels.
- Promote a consistent and widespread understanding of current issues and up-to-date IP information.

Scope of patent protection under the European Patent Convention
IPR2 developed this e-learning module based on training given by the European Patent Office on the scope of patent protection under the European Patent Convention (EPC), specifically Article 69.
